We all want to see the results of any diet and exercise regime. We are ecstatically happy when we reach a specific goal, and justifiably so. Surely we can now reward ourselves with that slice of scrumptious cake? The answer is a definite no.
Food as a reward for reaching a specific goal can be detrimental to any individual in the longer term. This is especially the case for rewarding any diet or exercise regime achievement. Food may seem like the obvious reward, on the basis that you have effectively been depriving yourself of such culinary delights. However, it is a definite no go area, especially if you want to find a way how to lose weight fast. This applies to all types of food, good and bad. However, it doesn’t mean that you will never be able to sample the delights of bad food ever again. It simply means that food, in any shape or form, should never be used as a reward. The crux of the matter is that we do not want to let ourselves have any opportunities to fall back into those old bad habits. This is of real significance when our diet and exercise regime successes are so new and so fresh.
On the other hand rewards are of the uppermost importance. Rewards should be used when endeavoring to reach our diet and exercise regime goals, or in fact any goals in life. This point cannot be stressed enough.
The rewards to be used in this regard are dependant on what would motivate the specific individual concerned. It does not have to be anything ridiculously big. In fact, the easiest way to keep ourselves motivated is to reward ourselves regularly and often. For example:
When you have achieved a specific goal, you will have been exercising hard as well. A massage treatment is a fantastic way to get some well deserved pampering, with the added bonus of soothing out those aches and pains.
We all think about doing activities such as bungee jumping or whitewater rafting or salsa dancing. We somehow never seem to find the time to organize them, when going about our normal daily lives.
That special something
You have most probably had your eye on something for a while, and keep deliberating over such a purchase. Whether it is a new piece of clothing, or that ultimate piece of technology, it is justifiable to treat yourself to such a purchase. This is especially the case when you have achieved such a significant breakthrough.

Everyone has a book they have always meant to read.
A makeover will be the icing on the cake to compliment that new physique.
Rewarding yourself is a fabulous way to keep motivation high for any diet and exercise regime success. However, it cannot be stressed enough that rewards should never come in the form of food. As an added incentive, it would be an idea to set small rewards for say daily or weekly achievements. Bigger rewards can then be set for reaching those all important longer term goals.
