The creator of the diet maintains that peaks and lulls in blood sugar throughout the day lead to junk-food cravings that can add unnecessary calories and weight.
What Contributes to Blood Sugar
Blood sugar levels are determined by what you eat and when you eat it. The 5 Day Miracle Diet focuses on eliminating certain aspects from your diet such as caffeine, alcohol, sugar and starch so you can stabilize blood sugars. Once your body is in equilibrium, the cravings will vanish and so will excessive snacking which can pack on the pounds.
A Typical Day
If you decide to try the 5 Day Miracle Diet, a typical day will probably look something like this:
Breakfast: One serving of protein and one serving of starch.

Lunch: One serving of protein and one serving of vegetables.
