Losing weight is not a problem. At least on paper. What’s the big mystery? After all, to lose weight, you only need to do two things: move around more often and eat less. That’s all. That’s the big mystery When you do these things your body burns up stored fat, and you get thinner. However, the real challenge is not losing weight but keeping the pounds off. This is what separates the temporary weight losers to the real losers. Real lasting change can only happen if you change your mindset and attitude about your weight. This is what creates a self-sustaining momentum that can lead to permanent weight loss. And it all boils down to motivation. Listen, all of us want a million bucks a year. Few will hate the money. However, the question to getting that cash boils down to how bad do you want it. And it also boils down to what you will give up to get that much cash. It is all about motivation. Here are some ways to find motivation so you can lose the weight you want.
Show Fat Pictures To Yourself
Most men are visual. So are some women. If you want to shock or jolt yourself into putting one foot right in front of the other when you are too tired and sleepy for your morning jog, you might just need the right pictures to motivate you. First of all, if you already lost weight-blow up picture of your ‘fat pictures’ and look at it. This will tell you where you have been and how far you need to go. If anything, it should tell you to keep going. Second, get pictures of people with cut and beautiful bodies. This is where you want to go. Use these two sets to push and pull you to get up and run when you don’t feel like it. Use these pictures to motivate you when you have more excuses than motivation.
Think Of It As a Game
Another great way to motivate yourself to put in the work so you can lose weight is to think of your weight loss project as a game. Just like with Call of Duty or The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, you hit certain levels and give yourself certain ‘achievements’ if you reach them. Make a series of rewards you give yourself if you successfully avoid eating a third meal for the day or if you avoid eating sweet snacks or fat-filled salty snacks. Set up levels. Just like with role playing games, if you lose 5 pounds, that’s one level, lose another 5 pounds, you’re at another level. Play this game out on your journal and see how far you get. Of course, you have to give yourself a prize at the end. A new laptop or tablet, maybe?
